This was one of my favorite ongoing events ever and one of the most successful industry nights for years. Las Vegas Weekly called it the “Best Recurring Party” and the night was also featured in many other print publications and music videos.Here is an excerpt from a VEGAS SEVEN article about the party written by Melinda Sheckells
Party Rock Monday is in the house for one more night January 25 as the event hosted by Redfoo—formerly of the electronic-dance music super-group LMFAO—returns to Marquee nightclub for its fifth anniversary. The brainchild of Tao Group entertainment marketing guru Mike Snedegar, Party Rock enjoyed two years of raucous success from January 2011 to December 2012. Every Monday the club was awash in glow sticks and inflatable zebras, and the staff donned foam fingers, shot-glasses necklaces and “Sorry for Party Rocking” T-shirts.
“It became a cultural movement,” says Tao Group managing partner Jason Strauss. “It was [the industry’s] night to really let loose. When we decided to make the anniversary on a Monday, we thought, ‘Why not bring back the party that helped us launch five years ago?’”
