I remember my first nightclub experience in Las Vegas. The year was 2008 and I was on holiday in Vegas for the first time. We went to PURE nightclub on a sold-out Saturday night and saw Neyo perform live on stage. I remember thinking how amazing it was to be standing next to a celebrity. Little did I know that fate would bring me into the nightlife business and celebrity interviews in just six month. Even though I love EDM, I will always remember my early days in Vegas fondly.
Before Calvin Harris and Tiesto there was Kim Kardashian and John Legend. Being able to rub shoulders with these A-listers helped build our nightlife culture into the number one destination in the world for entertainment and I hope it will continue to set the bar for many years to come.
My company, Viva Vegas TV did events at Pure. I remember many great industry nights and events. Sancho Van Ryan will miss this place, but look forward to the next iteration by Hakkasan Management Group.
Pure Nightclub will close it’s doors after Memorial Day Weekend 2014 to make way for a new nightlife concept from the Hakkasan Group that is slated to open in 2015. The industry was out in force to say goodbye to an Iconic brand that helped shape the history of bottle service and super clubs.
